The vermiculite-coated glass fiber fabric is mainly composed of non-alkaline glass fibers and vermiculite.
The glass fibers serve as the base material, while the vermiculite is the coating material. Vermiculite is a natural mineral.
This inorganic coating enables the composite glass fiber fabric to withstand short-term high temperatures up to 1000°C and continuous high temperatures up to 800°C.
The production process involves uniformly coating the vermiculite suspension on the glass fiber products, followed by drying in the subsequent process. The vermiculite settles on the glass fiber products, thereby producing coated vermiculite glass fiber products of different thicknesses and specifications. At the same time, the glass fiber fabric gains stronger fire resistance, breakdown resistance, and friction resistance, as well as good mechanical processing performance. The vermiculite-coated glass fiber fabric is widely used in various fields.
The uniform vermiculite coating on the glass fiber fabric forms a protective film on the surface of the glass fiber fabric. This enables the working temperature to be raised to 800°C. At the same time, the glass fiber fabric gains better friction resistance, mechanical processing performance, and good chemical resistance. The vermiculite-coated fabric is also widely used in high-temperature filtration, high-temperature sealing, and electric welding protection, among others.
